fine wine goes great with the mural Bethlehem Mayor John B. Callahan cutting the ribbon with owner Tom Fenstermacher
The plaque reads:
" This 2,000 square foot mural was painted to honor the spirit of the Bethlehem Steel Mill as well as the town and people of Bethlehem. Painted by Philadelphia artist, Guy Stasik over a period of 10 days in May of 2006, the mural features a treatment of the #1 blast furnace; accented by a monochromatic treatment of the famous blast row."

July 18th, 2006 - the official opening of Steel Fitness

It was a great honor to be up in Bethlehem for the official opening of Steel Fitness. The club is impressive, to say the least. State of the art equipment in an atmosphere that means business. The locker rooms alone are enough to make you feel like your being treated like a star. All of the equipment is brand new and the free-weight area rivals any gym in the area. The mezanine features a huge row of treadmills and cardio machines - all with their own televisions. The mural is now set off by interior treatments such as a huge front desk that doubles as a juce bar, done all in steel and reflecting the theme of the mill.

Owner Tom Fenstermacher, along with numerous friends and family, as well as the entire staff of Steel Fitness celebrated the final phase of the Lehigh Riverport facility. The press was out in droves and the Mayor gave a nice speech about Tom and his facility. A catered event, there was plenty of food and drinks to keep everyone hanging around for the two hour celebration.

I was fortunate enough to get some private time with the Mayor. He is a super nice guy and was extremely flattering about the painting. He said that the mural 'was' the image of Bethlehem and he looked forward to working with me in the future. This is a Mayor that fully embraces the importance of the mill and wants to keep the image alive in hs town. I look forward to being a part of that.

Well, that's it really. If I find any new clippings, I'll post them.
